A fur coat designed only for you
Making a made-to-measure fur coat means creating an exceptional piece: chosen with you, made for your body shape, in the skins you select. A unique coat, imagined and made exclusively for you.
Our Saint-Jérôme workshop offers a free consultation to start your project. Together, we define the model, the skins and the finishes. Two systematic fittings (the mock-up first, then the shell of the coat) ensure a perfectly adjusted result before the final finishing.
Since 1958, Samuel Manteaux has carried out its coat making entirely in its workshop. Every coat is covered by a 5-year warranty. This warranty covers the new skins as well as the work on the coat.

Two systematic fittings

5-year warranty included
It is the longest warranty we offer, because making a coat is our most complete work. This warranty covers the new skins as well as the work on the coat. If a touch-up is needed, our team takes care of it at no charge for 5 years.

Pattern, fittings, cleaning, finishing: everything is done in our workshop, by our team. Your coat never leaves our hands until it is delivered.

Made-to-measure pattern
A designer creates the pattern to your measurements and your wishes. Each creation is born from the first step, thought out and shaped entirely according to your tastes, your silhouette and your wishes. Nothing is taken from an existing template: everything is designed from scratch for you.
Two fittings
A first fitting with a fabric mock-up adjusts the cut to your body shape. A second fitting with the shell of the coat confirms the result before the final finishing.
Delivery with a 5-year warranty
Your made-to-measure coat is handed to you with a 5-year warranty. If a touch-up is needed during this period, our team takes care of it at no charge, until you are completely satisfied.

What is the difference between making a coat and remodeling one?
A remodeling starts from an existing coat that is transformed on a new pattern. Making a coat starts from scratch, with new skins, to create an entirely original piece. Making offers total creative freedom, but its cost is higher because it includes new materials and all of the creative work.
What types of coats can you make?
Our workshop makes fur coats in a wide variety of styles: long or short coats, with or without a hood, with a removable fur lining on a wool coat, or with leather. We define the model together during the free consultation, according to your tastes and your body shape.
How much does a made-to-measure fur coat cost?
The cost varies depending on the type of skins, the complexity of the model and the finishes chosen. Making a coat is the most complete service we offer, and also the most expensive. We offer a free consultation to present the options and costs for your project, with no commitment.
Can I draw inspiration from photos or existing models?
Absolutely. The consultation is the right time to share your inspirations: a magazine photo, a model seen elsewhere, a specific idea or a general direction. Our team uses these references to create a unique pattern adapted to your body shape. The final result becomes an exceptional creation.
How long does the making process take?
The timeline varies depending on the time of year and the complexity of the coat. The project takes place over several meetings: consultation, measurements, two fittings, cleaning and finishing. Our team gives you an estimated schedule from the initial consultation.
Is there a warranty on a made-to-measure coat?
